Art of the Trench Coat

It has been said that art is fashion and fashion is art and I would have to agree, especially when it refers to trench coats. And that is shown on this ah-mazing Glamorous coat via Nordstrom, I actually bought online.

I saw it and just fell in love with it and since I have bought the Glamorous brand before, I knew it was going to fit and it did. I think what caught my eye at first was the black and white contrast which I think is so chic and elegant without being over the top or flashy. And that is why you see so much of that combo on my outfits. And then, of course, the print could be interpreted as so many things and that’s where the art part comes in, because everyone looks at things in different ways.

I actually didn’t know what I was going to wear it with, but I knew it was a statement piece for any outfit. So now that the weather is finally getting cooler it was time to bring this baby out. And the best way to wear this coat, I thought it would be with an all black outfit, I know total shocker, right?

But seriously, the other option was all white or skinny jeans and a black or white top, to let the coat do all the talking, do you know what I mean?

I didn’t want an all black look from head to toe, so I added these beyond gorgeous Schutz “Zilca” pumps from Nordstrom Rack. I have to admit that I’ve been so in love with this brand for a while now. They have the latest trends and the classic ones and that’s what shoe shopping is all about, and they’re pretty affordable too.

And now for the final touches, I styled the look with my Ray-Ban blue metallic sunglasses, a soft pink clutch and then I added my favorite jewelry right now; the necklace and earrings from Brave Chick and the ring and bracelet from Nissa Jewelry. And some color on my lips with my favorite Milani Cosmetics lipliner ($3.99), and I was ready to hit the town with bae. A trench coat is a fashion bloggers best friend. Always makes your outfit Instagram blogger ready, sleek and fashionable.
