We all know Beyonce as Queen B and anything far from a “follower.” Beyonce has always been a leader and paved her own path to success. So it came as no surprise that the superstar isn’t just doing another collaboration for a capsule collection like many other stars have done, she’s creating her own brand.

Beyonce is expanding her empire by teaming up with Topshop to release a new joint venture company named, ParkWood Topshop Athletic Ltd. Sir Philip Green made it clear that the 50-50 business deal is not a collaboration. He told WWD, “This is about building a brand and building a business — a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office.” With a focus being entirely on activewear, other companies including Free People, Urban Outfitters and Alternative Apparel have already joined in on the action.

The superstar’s, “new partnership allows Topshop to cash in on the growing sector, while giving Bey the infrastructure to build out her fashion vision with relatively low risk,” stated WWD.

While we’re itching to see the Queen B-approved designs, there’s no word yet on an exact release date. However, we know Beyonce will be completely hands-on and involved heavily with the partnership. Reportedly, she is currently in the works of hiring a designer and establishing the brand name.
