I am so excited to be working with Sally Beauty on their #SallyHairDare campaign.

You know that feeling when you first leave the hair salon after getting highlights, a haircut or a blow out? Isn’t it the best feeling ever? And don’t you wish you could keep it looking that way every day?  I took the dare and am showcasing how to get a Salon Look at home with Sally Beauty products.

When you go to a salon, always ask questions like:

  1. What products are they using?
  2. What is that product for?
  3. What tools are they using, what size of curling or flat iron, etc.?

Also, take a picture of your hair when you are at the salon (you know, that selfie you are going to share on Instagram anyway, right?), so you can see how it looked when you left the salon and try to do it at home. Let’s be really honest here, it won’t look exactly the same. But if it looks pretty close to what you originally liked, then that is a good thing.

My hair routine lately has been very low maintenance, and it is all about practice, practice, practice. So you need to do just that, practice until you figure out what works for you and your hair type.

Lately, I’ve been all about beachy waves. These are the steps to achieve it with the Ion Rotation Curling Iron and jilbere nano ceramic flat iron, after I let my hair natually (air dry)

  1. I shampoo my hair with something like Clairol Professional IThrive Dry Shampoo .
  2. I use a rich conditioner like the Ion Effective Care Treatment. It gives me deep conditioning, and strengthens and moisturizes my hair.
  3. I towel dry my hair until it is only damp.
  4. I add a little bit of Generic Value Products leave-in conditioner from the middle to the ends of the hair only.
  5. I add Beyond The Zone Split Mender on the ends (for extra moisture).
  6. And last, but definitely not least, I spray on BTZ Turn Up the Heat, which is a heat protector.
  7. I then softly twist a few strands of hair around the Ion Rotation Curling Iron (outwards) and then a switch to the jilbere nano ceramic flat iron and twist the rest of the hair (inwards) for the ultimate beachy messy waves. I repeat these steps with the rest of my hair until done

Messy beachy waves essentials with Sally Beauty

Sometimes, I use both a curling and a flat iron when I want the waves to last longer, and longer means less damage from heat to your hair.

I use the jilber nano ceramic flat iron and the ion rotation curling iron and you can find all of these products at your local Sally Beauty, it is literally a one stop shop and I am all about that.

I thank you for stopping by and I hope these hair tips were helpful.

Hope you have a fantastic hair day!

With Lots of Love,
