While preparing for my date tonight, beneath all the excitement and panic; I’m thinking: is everything going to come out as planned? What am I going to wear? I then come to my senses. No worries, relax, find my inner mantra, which for me is shoes and bags – then work backwards. Voilà! Today we were going to one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Monica and later a movie.
I started with the lace up sandals. Black with tones of gold at the end of the lace straps. Then, my small blue Gucci bag. And finally to bring the whole ensemble into being – the blue and white shift dress. I love shift dresses because of the way they fit my body, and I love the print on this one. It was a win-win.
So rather than stressing out trying to find the perfect outfit, take a cue from the pieces you like. It’s only a date night outfit in Santa Monica. Hello?!
