Elie Tahari (@ElieTahari) is an Israeli-American designer who has become known for both his men and women’s clothing lines is about to launch his limited-time collection with Kohl’s (@Kohls). Arguably the biggest fashion industry name to collaborate with Kohl’s has drawn his inspiration from his home of New York City. Including New York City, he has boutiques in major cities all around the U.S., including, Boston, Atlanta and Las Vegas.
Recognized by the New York fashion industry since the 1970s, Tahari has been labeled as a “rags-to-riches success.” He has become known for not only his creative influence from the city, but also his use of luxurious fabrics, clean lines and intricate details.
Tahari told Women’s Wear Daily that he was influenced by “the iconic architecture and vibrant energy of the streets.” He has also stated, “every woman should feel confident and beautiful in what she wears, so each piece in this DesigNation collection will reflect an alluring femininity with a sleek downtown edge that allows a woman’s true beauty to shine through.”
