Hi guys, I’m super excited to announce my new look as a member of the Burlington Style Squad™ with Burlington. And guess why I’m super excited? Yep, I’m doing a 70s inspired look and I’m in heaven, because you already know from my blog it’s my favorite era. I’m actually doing a 70s night look and I went all out.

I went in to the Burlington store with my $100 gift card, but this time is was even more special because I was in New York for New York Fashion week.

I love shopping in different cities, it just feels even more magical. I went to the store on 707 Sixth Ave, and I actually walked from my hotel to the store. While taking pictures and videos on my way there.

So for me 70s style is pretty normal, it’s always been in my closet. I love it and I wear it pretty often, and it’s all about platforms, fringe, flowy dresses, bell bottoms and tons of gold. But since I’m doing a night look I decided to go with a dress, more evening appropriate.

Now I have to say there is a fine line between dressing a certain era and looking like you got dressed for a costume party. So my tip here would be to use 1 or 2 trends from that era, the idea is to actually wear it out and fell comfortable, beautiful and fashionable.

For me the go-to 70s look wouldn’t be complete with a good pair of platform shoes, and guess what I found the perfect black suede pair, these are and these babies were $35.00 yes you read it right and they would be heavy rotation. Fringe is also another 70s staple and I found the perfect black suede vest for $17.00. And as I was walking by the clearance section I saw this black cover up for $10 and it caught my eye to wear it with the vest on top. So I had the main items for this look for $60.00 and I only needed accessories which I was able to find for less than $8 each. You know shopping on a budget is not easy, but it can done. And I was able to do it and I’m so proud of this look and I hope you like it as much as I do.

I also wanted to let you know that Burlington has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society LLS Light The Night® Walk fundraising campaign to raise money for blood cancer research, donate a $1.00 and make a difference.

With Lots of Love,
