Last week I had the pleasure to have my hairstyle done by Gwne Aatlo from Framed Salon in Santa Monica. I have been in need of a new hair look and this is the result of a beautiful day.
While talking with Gwen, she confided that she knew she had wanted to be a hairstylist at 4 years old. Even at that young age, she wanted to help “everyday” women feel beautiful. If you’re having one of days, Gwen makes it all go away and you feel like you’re on top of the world when she’s done with your hairstyle. Gwen is all about giving joy and finding the perfect hairstyle for you.
Now, every day, she gets to live her dream in the salon built with the two girls she is proud to say are her friends as well as business partners, Stacey Barnes and Andi Scarbrough. Framed Salon is a place where stylists gather to learn, grow, play and do amazing hair in a relaxed, yet professional atmosphere. Every day she wakes and is humbled by the amazing things and people that surround her. Her colleagues, the salon and clients are an intricate part of her livelihood and it is because of all of them that she named herself, quite literally, The Humble Hairstylist.
