By now, you’ve probably heard the news. JM Couture hit it big last week at Style Fashion Week. One thing is to view a runway show with dresses in different colors, or a catwalk full of skirts and tops or a nice mix of both. Hey, don’t get me wrong, if the piece looks nice I want it in every color. But, when Jim Mullin of JM Couture (@JM_Couture) is involved, it’s a symphony of colors, fabrics, patterns, details, pleats, metallics, leather, and if that’s not enough – a striped fur-like coat covering a one piece swimsuit. And, that’s just the first 6 models on the runway! Can I get a “Thank You” and a “Whoop, whoop.”

Jim Mullin launched JM Couture in the summer of 2009 in Chicago as a t-shirt company to support Mullin’s music project, “The Light” among other projects with MTV. As he continued creating for fashion shows, his hunger for design grew.

In 2010 Mullin designed his first true collection, which featured swimwear, dresses and intimates. He had studied with other fashion photographers and decided to start taking all of his own photos, which marked his passion for fashion photography. “Creative themes as well as producing and owning all of the content was the secret to his success in these early shows. Using photo branding and dazzling themed events JM Couture quickly became well known in the Chicago fashion scene.” During 2009 to 2011 Mullin produced over 100 fashion shows, charity events and concerts. So many were produced that in 2010 he was nominated “Fashion Producer” of the year at the Chicago Fashion Consortium Awards.

On Oct. 19, 2014 JM Couture once again wowed the crowd with his SS15 runway collection at Style Fashion Week in Los Angeles. Take a good look at the outfit designs from JM Couture, because years from now you’ll be saying, I remember when… Enjoy the show, and click on the photos for a larger image.
