After enduring many sneak peaks via Cara Delevingne’s Instagram, the video is finally here! Chanel has released their short film tilted, ‘Reincarnation’ directed by Karl Lagerfeld.

Pharrell Williams wrote and composed the song, ‘Reincarnation’ for the film, which was inspired by the history of an iconic Chanel jacket. Delevingne even makes her own musical appearance singing along with Williams. Delevingne can be heard singing, “C! C!” throughout the song to represent the Chanel double C logo.

The film opens with Delevingne as a waitress and William’s a bellhop in Austria in 1954. As the night progresses, in a dream sequence the two transform into royalty, specifically royalty that strongly resembles Austria’s Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth of Austria. Géraldine Chaplin also appears in the film portraying Coco Chanel herself.

“There’s a touch of Pop Art in it,” Lagerfeld told WWD about the film. “It’s not meant to be a historical reconstruction or something heavy like that. This is light and funny.”
