Designer Bayarmaa Bayarkhuu ushered the new and the old in her Mongol fashion show at MBFW New York. Bayarmaa envisioned the tunic dresses, capes and fur coats from the vast grasslands of Mongolia into sensual and opulent fur, cashmere, plastic and leather pieces full of vivid colors for New York’s chic women. Models were styled in backwards Mongolian head pieces! Is this a new trend? I believe you’ll agree with me, these are great looks from Bayarmaa Bayarkhuu.
This was the first show for Mongol at NYFW, and from the great applause at the finale, we are sure we’ll see much more in the future. Now, on to the Mongol Brand fashion show…
