This past week I was invited by Cabi to attend the Cabi Scoop 2016 fashion show in San Diego, CA (coming to the blog soon with all the behind the scenes). So it was time for a little road trip, and I drove from Los Angeles to San Diego on Thursday morning (to avoid traffic). It took me a little bit more than 2 hours to get to downtown San Diego, so my trick to leave in the morning worked because I didn’t get any traffic, whatsoever.

First things first, I checked-in into my room at the Omni San Diego, organized all of my outfits for the event and photoshoots and headed downstairs for a quick bite before the fashion show. My friend checked Yelp for the closest restaurant and found one right in front of the hotel, so that was it. It’s called Tin Fish and they have the most delish fish and chips dish.

Right after lunch, I went straight to my room to change and got ready for the Cabi Fashion show at the Convention Center, which is across from the Omni Hotel. Everything was within walking distance, which is great when you are out of town for either work on vacation. All the restaurants and bars we went to were in the Downtown/Gaslamp area.

San Diego Looks

These are a few of my San Diego looks, that I will be sharing in all details with you soon. I am wearing a black turtleneck from Cabi for all 3 looks ,and changed from my Madewell jeans to a Cabi skirt, later changed my coats and shoes (that is the trick to packing light) reusing and re styling the same pieces and only changing the accessories.

  1. Old Navy coat, Old Navy hat, Madewell Jeans, Cabi top, Bed Stu booties
  2. Cabi jacket, Cabi skit, Cabi top, Moschino bag, Old Navy hat, AMIclubwear shoes (less than $20)
  3. Cabi coat, Madewell jeans, Cabi top, AMIclubwear shoes (less than $20)

After the fashion show, Cabi invited a group of bloggers to dinner (coming to the blog soon); and after that I went for drinks with my friend that came with me to San Diego. One of my favorite drinks when I go out is a Cosmo, and this one at Vin de Syrah was fruity and refreshing. You have to go to this place, it is underground and kind of hard to find. The decor is out of control it is like an Alice in Wonderland

This was my second time going to San Diego so I really didn’t know that much about the more popular sites. But my friend did, so that was cool that she knew exactly where to go. We got to experience the city at night, we walked from the hotel to the bars and back, no Uber needed.

Now time for a little mirror selfie, because the floors were amazing with the marble walls and the gold trimmed doors.
