Recently RossanaVanoni.com was invited to take a new social platform for a spin that was recommended by a close friend and fellow fashion blogger. The platform makes some pretty big promises, namely the ability to provide bloggers a larger number of readers, greater social branding and an improved search presence as well. While its too early to assess the truthfulness of these claims, but the greatest benefit of the platform (at least at this point) is that Olanola doesn’t require much time to manage. At least for now, this is huge, because Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest already consume enough time and that was before Instagram.

At a first glance, Olanola has stories from sites such as XO Jane and quite a few fashion bloggers such as Not Dressed as Lamb, LCs Closet and the Fashion Fraction. This helps put fellow style and fashion bloggers at ease, as at least there is a familiar community and content that would be attractive to style lovers. Outside of fashion, there are a ton of cute pet stories, some politics, finance, science and music and movies as well.

Olanola

Jumping in, you can easily and quickly create a site after signing up for Olanola. The site builder is a breeze and allows you to quickly start your own blog. Similar to WordPress.com or Blogspot, your site will read as yoursite.olanola.com. The tricky part is figuring out how to syndicate your content, but another perk of Olanola is the handy Account Manager who is quickly accessible to help new bloggers get setup. After just a few minutes, recent posts from RossanaVanoni such as Downtown LA Flower Markets and the Hugo Boss Livestream began to appear.

Its easy to see how you can get sucked into Olanola, as there are a ton of interesting stories on the homepage and whenever you read a post, there are more related stories underneath every page. Olanola isn’t just another social platform, so be sure to check it out and don’t hesitate to read my blog as well.
