On Wednesday evening, Sue Wong (@SueWongFashion) presented her “Fairies and Sirens” collection which was the perfect way to kick off Style Fashion Week LA. The show was composed of 76 different looks and lasted over a half hour but each and every dress was so intricately detailed and embellished with beading, embroidery, and lace that the long run-time was well deserved. Elaborate headdresses accompanied each look and almost stole the show. Wong stated that her spring collection was inspired by “the dual archetypes of the poetic, ethereal, magical fairy and the hauntingly seductive, beguiling, vampirish siren” which definitely came across with her bountiful use of silk and organza. The designer presented a vast range of looks, from flowing gowns to cocktail dresses. Wong managed to add a youthful flare to very glamorous styles whether it be with bold colors, statement jewelry, or fun heels.
