Every time I see stairs I have stop, I think I have a problem. This started when I moved to LA 8 years ago, because in Miami there are really no stairs that connects one street to another or to cut through a canyon or hills. In Miami there are no hills, mountains or canyons for that matter, it is as flat as it gets. If you want to “hike” then you would walk up a bridge, which I love to do as well.
I was driving from one event to another from West Hollywood to Silverlake and I saw the famous Silverlake Stairs, and of course I had to stop and take picture. I didn’t actually go all the way up, I didn’t want to get sweaty because I had two more events.
This place is so gorgeous not only for the colorful stairs, but there’s art all over the walls, floors and trash cans, yes trash cans. I just love street art I am a total sucker for it, I literally stop every time I see one and I have them all over my blog. I think it makes everything more colorful and gives it more character, you know?
On this particular Sunday I went with an all black look wearing the most comfortable and stretchy jeans I own, these BDG from Urban Outfitters, I love them so much I buy a new pair every year. These are from last year and are a little faded so that’s a sign I have to buy a new pair.
I paired the jeans with a black V Neck top, that is loose and long sleeve to keep me warm (yeah, I know I’m such a baby when it comes to cold weather). But the look felt a little plain and even boring so I added a neck strap to give it an edgy look, and now I loved the look.
For accessories I grab my new go-to black bucket bag and my Ray-Ban wayfarer and, believe it or not, I was debating on what shoes to wear. I wanted something cute but also comfy, because I was going to 3 events that day.
Lately, I’ve been cleaning my closets, trying to decide what to donate and what to sell and found these nude wedges from a few years ago; and I knew they would look great with this look. My signature red lips and I was ready to take on the day.
