Tommy Hilfiger’s football team of models plays ball at Park Avenue Armory. Tommy Hilfiger said that “this is a collection based upon love story meets American sports”…a “blend of both luxury and sports..to give a casual, sporty, luxurious feel.” After 30 years, the genius of Tommy keeps re-energizing the brand and progressing toward the future. It is wonderful to see established fashion houses that reinvent themselves with new fashion styles and push the limits of their designer’s imagination!
This collection was referred to as ‘fantasy football’ with a collegiate inspired style, preppy, modern and full of colorful accents. The models strutted down a field marked with football hash marks, and yard lines. Tommy Hilfiger showcased, football interlaced, athletic fashion that included varsity jackets, sweaters, skirts, jerseys and coats in leather, plaid and fur. the photos do not do it justice, the aura and attendance on the green was, exhilarating!
