So with Spring in full effect in LA, I wanted to update my hair color but nothing drastic just a subtle change. I actually like my color , I just wanted a few golden highlights to blend in my quasi ombre color I have.
I don’t like just one color like you I got it from from a box, I don’t anything just one way, so I am always to spice it up some how and adding a few highlights will do the job of natural ray of sunshine on my hair.
That is when Marco Pelusi comes in, I met him a a West Hollywood Design District event back in January, and we just clicked. I told him what I wanted and he got me. He told come in and he will work his magic on my hair.
But I had my anniversary trip to Miami already planned, so I had to wait until I came to go see him. But he gave one his best seller products the Marco color anti-frizz leave-in conditioner to try in the meantime. And let me tell you , the Leave-in conditioner is magic, as you may know Miami is the capital of humidity and my hair is the capital of frizz , so it is always a challenge to have my hair on-point in Miami. But this product has transformed my hair, I simply shampoo and condition my hair, then towel dry it and apply the leave-in conditioner and let my hair air dry. If I want waves I separate my hair in two and braid it until I am ready to go out and then let my hair down and voila.

We talked about my expectations and what I wanted and together we agreed on what I wanted, so we did base and a few highlights. After he applies the colors, I walked around the salon taking pictures of all his amazing products.

Marco has been in the hair care industry for decades and comes from a familt that is also in the industry and it shows. Not only is he a hair stylist and colorist bit he is also a tranier. He travels all over to teach his tectniques . And that is type of professional you want to work on your hair I you know you will leave the salon happy and will come for years to come.
Marco is a celebrity hairstylist and his clients included producers, actors and models like Carol Alt just to name a few, but when you sit on his chair you are the celebrities.
While I was at the salon, I had the pleasure of meeting long time clients of his and they have been going to him for years, and that says everything about his work and service.
His assistance Vicky is the sweetest, just like him and they work perfect together, my experience was beyond good. Don’t take my word for it, Yelp him and you’ll find out fir yourself.
Marco is a kind soul and that is so important to me when interacting with someone that closely, I mean they are touching your hair and that is pretty intimate.
Then I saw this outdoor patio in the middle on the salon, it is so peacefull I just wanted to saty here all day while driking coofe and reading fashion magazines.
And lets talk about the view, yes that is the Pacific Design Center, Marco’s salon in located in the heart of West Hollywood. Walking distance to the best boutiques and restaurants, so after you leave with for hair done you are ready to hit the town.
The decor is relax and chill, great views from everywhere and he plays the best music, I sang every single song (but that shouldn’t be a surprise).
To make the process faster, Marco put under the dryer for a few minutes to accelerate the color of the highlights.
And here is my new hair color, what do you think? I love it, it a perfect blend of what I already had so more golden, without the drastic two tone color I had before.
ANd now I was ready for my close up, I had 2 photooshoots and my hair looked amazing, thank you Marco you rock!
