As a world-renowned fashion designer and creative director of four clothing lines, it’s certainly safe to say that Malan Breton’s career has flourished since his Project Runway days. What’s even more impressive is that he has been able to create perfectly tailored garments without ever attending design school. This luxury brand designer possesses the kind of natural talent most could only wish for!

Originally from Taiwan, Breton began designing clothes at 11 years old. After moving to New York to pursue modeling, he worked as a stylist for A-list celebrities and eventually transitioned into fashion design. As a contestant on season 3 of Project Runway, Breton showed great promise and he quickly became a household name. Two years later, he received his own six-part television series “The Malan Show”, a show “following the process of making it in America as an independent designer!” And make it, he did!

Breton has presented his colorful menswear and womenswear collections at New York Fashion Week since 2006. More recently, he’s incorporated bridal and accessories collections and collaborated with other major designers. He was named the 24th most famous person in fashion from Taiwan. His collections are seen worldwide and have been featured in shows such as AMC’s Breaking Bad.

In addition to his fabulous design career, Breton has also worked as a fashion columnist covering red carpet events for various media outlets like OK! Magazine and The New York Times.

Malan Breton sure has come a long way since his days as a Project Runway contestant. He’s sparked our interest with his bold colors and tailoring over the years and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for ss 15!
