This morning at the BCBG MAXAZRIA show, Lubov Azria said “I think it’s always an evolution” in regards to ever-changing fashion. Lubov had recently gone to Barcelona, Spain, and later to the Baltic Sea States and was influenced and motivated by its culture. She noticed how many of the local shops had hand-beaded embroidery and other ethnic influences, and the younger generation wants nothing to do with it. Well, now under Azria’s influential evolution they will.
We noticed that some of the new ready to wear Fall Winter 2015 pieces had an abbundace of color and profuse embroidery inpirations. Just look at the Spanish Celtic influence in the colors and fringe; and the baltic darker, sumptuous and sophisticated colors, tiles and triangles incorporated in the pieces. Layered on top were many coats. Statements of wearable works of art, if I say so myself. This was a start to what’s going to be a great fashion week at NY.
