In Just a year Lupita Nyong’o has made her dreams come true! From snagging her first Academy Award, becoming the face of Lancome to landing her first cover for one of the most prestigious fashion magazines in the world… Vogue. Ms. Nyong’o was born in Mexico City, Mexico but was primarily raised in Kenya and currently lives in New York City. Although she gained fame with the movie she starred in “12 Years a Slave” she is getting even more attention because of her fashion, she is becoming a fashion icon. Many are probably not surprised that Ms. Nyong’o has landed the cover of Vogue star because she is one of the most sought after for her fashion turning major heads, everyone is dying to take pictures of whatever she is wearing.
Her cover of the July issue of Vogue is now on sale, and it shows Nyong’o looking beautiful and fierce. Photographer Mikael Jansson captures Nyong’o in a nine page spread with some of the most sought after designers in the world like Rodarte, Proenza Schouler, Givenchy, Jonathan Saunders, Prada, T by Alexander Wang and J. Crew.
Ms. Nyong’o will be starring in many more movies including Star Wars Episode VII (2015) and Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel Americanah which she will be starring along side again with Brad Pitt. Will be seeing a lot of Lupita Nyong’o for the years to come, stay tuned everyone.
