The true essence of fashion is experimentation. Where would we be without this one important concept? Nothing would stand out, nothing would be unique, and nothing would be individual to you. Experimenting is what drives all of us, and we do it without even realizing it. For example, when I was putting this outfit together, I thought to myself, ‘Why not play with different colors?’ I sifted through the bottom of my closet looking for the perfect pair of shoes until these gorgeous yellow Jimmy Choo’s called my name. Knowing that I would use these to inspire the rest of my outfit choices, I set off to find the right combination of a bottom and top. This led me to my dark Urban Outfitters skinny jeans and red striped Old Navy shirt. At first I was a little unsure, considering these are colors I don’t usually flock to, but loved the outcome when the pieces were finally in their place. Without this little experiment, I wouldn’t have realized how much fun I had mixing and matching different colors to create an unexpected combination.
