I’m so excited spring is here, and I can feel it in the air. And guess what, I’m wearing floral for spring ground breaking (quoting The Devil wears Prada).
I want to share with you a few things about myself, I have never followed trends and I buy what I like. And this started since a little, my sisters moved to London when I was 6 years old, so every time they would come back or that we some them they would bring me the most amazing clothes. Clothes that you could never find here and I think that is when my love for different and eccentric things started. I guess I have to thank my parents for sending my sister to study abroad.
So when I fall in love with something I buy (depending on the price tag). Oh another thing about I usually never try clothes on at the store, I know it is kind of weird. Because if it doesn’t feed I have to back to change or return it. But lately I have been spending a little more time and trying on then and there.
And really don’t things because they are designer, I buy then because I like them. Don’t get me wrong I’m not about to pay thousands of dollars every time I go shopping, everyone has a budget.
I am amazing at finding the best prices for what I want, all my friends always call me, to ask where to buy this or that. And that was one of the many reason I started my blog, to share the best finds with you guys.
But on certain occasions, like my birthday (hint hint it’s April 6), Christmas and some other random day I treat myself because to something that I’ve been wanting for awhile and also that way the more I wait to get it, the more I make sure that I still like it after some time has passed. And hopefully what I wanted is still for sale. I keep these items for a very long time and I take care of them, and something I may be wearing a brang new dress with an old bag and that is what gives my look a different twist.
So I guess what I am trying to say is that don’t listen to or follow trends, like for winter wear this and for spring you wear that, well you get my point, right?
I dress based on my mood and weather (I’m pretty sure I’ve said that before), but just in case, I thought I should share with you again
I wear what I like and what makes me happy, I don’t dress for anyone else but myself (sorry Douglas) although I do ask hi if he likes what I’m wearing and for whatever reason he doesn’t I still wear and then he goes “what did you ask me then?” and my answer is always “I just wanted to know”.
Remember fashion has no rules, so if you like what you see in the mirror, that is all that matters. So do you boo!
For this look I am wearing all the clothes are from the new Who What Wear collection for Target. I love this faux leather jacket, and how it brings the entire look together.
This electric blue linen shirt goes perfectly with the floral skirt that blue and black undertones and to keep simple but not too simple I wore these black suede shoes with gold accent (from 2 years ago). And for the final touches and brown belt (just because) and a metallic clutch (from 4 years ago).
