We’ve all experienced it; waking up, looking into the mirror and all you can see is your dark under-eye circles and pale, lack luster skin. Whether it was because you stayed for that one extra drink at the bar or you were up until 3am working on that pitch you have for work in the morning, we’ve all been there. Luckily, we have a few tricks up our sleeves to brighten your face and appear more awake and refreshed!

Foundation and Concealer.

Using a foundation such as Nars Sheer Glow Foundation will both add a medium amount of coverage to conceal any blemishes or imperfections and brighten your skin tone to appear as if you’re naturally glowing.

YSL Touche Eclat- Radiant Touch Concealer is the perfect concealer for under eye circles. This product isn’t only a concealer, but also a highlighter. One of the best ways to appear more awake is to highlight under the eyes in an upside-down triangle shape. This brings light to the center of your face and reduces the appearance of being tired.

Eyes.

The best way to brighten and awaken the eyes is to always avoid dark eye makeup. Focus on using white instead of black. Using a white eye liner pencil like, Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Alpine to line the water line will make the eyes appear more open where as black closes the eyes.

Mac Pigment in Vanilla is also a great product to use to bring light to your eyes. Using a small brush, dab a small amount of the product to the inner corners of your eye. A little of this product goes a long way, but that small amount will completely alter your makeup look.

Complete your eyes by curling your lashes and swiping on two coats of your favorite mascara. We like Buxom Lash Mascara.

Brozer and Blush.

Instead of using a bronzer to contour we want to use it to appear as though you have just returned from a day on the beach. Use a bronzer like, Nars Bronzing Powder in Casino and dust the product across your cheekbones, down the nose and around the forehead. This is where the sun naturally hits our faces and by applying the product to these places we will create a natural-looking sun-kissed glow.

For blush we recommend a product like, Dior Diorskin Rosy Glow. Use a fluffy powder brush and pat this on the apples of your cheeks. To find the apples of your cheeks, smile and the round part of your cheeks that stands out is where you should apply the product. Diorskin Rosy Glow uses your natural flush color and the blush adapts to each persons individual skin tone.

Lips.

Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink is a go-to lip product because it is a balm that similar to their blush, brings out your own natural color. This is a balm, not a lipstick, but your lips will take on their own personal shade of a pinky/red.
