A few weeks ago I was invited to attend the opening the Salon Kazumi in Beverly Hills, it was such a fun event with great music, food and champagne. It was packed with people celebrating Kazumi and her new salon. From Jonathan & George Salon to opening her own salon Kazumi has celebrities clients like Zooey Deschanel, you can only imagine how excited I was when I got to meet Kazumi Morton herself.
So when she asked to come in to get my hair done, I was so flatter and I couldn’t wait for the appointment to come fast enough.
The salon is so gorgeous and it feels so peaceful and zen, the decor is so bright and fresh with Bianca Carrera marbles tops and bamboo floors and cabinets. And there are orchids at every station and fresh flowers all over the salon, Kazumi paid attention to every single detail.
Everyone at the salon is so nice and helpful, from the moment you come you feel so welcomed, the vibes are so chill. They offered me water, coffee and tea several times, I chose water every time ’cause it was so hot in LA that day. If you get hungry while getting your done, you have the option of ordering from so many restaurants in the area that delivery to the salon. There is plenty of street parking and parking structure behind the salon, so your entire experience from start to end is so smooth (and that is every girls salon experience dream).
They carry so many quality products like Oribe and her gray camouflage Root Vanish Trearment by Kazumi, this product not only covers grays but nourishes at the same time, and like I always say that is a “win, win” and you know how much I love multipurpose products.
Now it was time to get my Summer Hair Makeover started, I wanted to go lighter and shorter. I got introduced to colorist Mikey Giovanni, we talked about what I wanted and what would look good for me, we agreed and automatically clicked and he started working his magic.
We were doing several things, starting with the base color, followed by highlights and gloss, this is what he used to achieve my amazing Summer Ready Hair:
- L’Oreal 6.0 and 6.1 with 15 volume peroxide for the base color
- L’Oreal Platine Precision Bleach with 15 volume peroxide for baby fine highlights.
- Redken Gloss 7gb for the roots and 9gb/9n for the ends, for shine and treatment.
Then I met with Hair Stylist Aaron, I wasn’t sure if I wanted a trim or cut more. We talked for a little and we agreed to cut 2 inches, to start the summer with healthy hair.
After he cut the 2 inches, we looked at each other and he was like do you want me to cut more? I was like, YES! so we ended up cutting 4 inches and added more layers and I am super happy about it. We got rid of all dry and damaged ends while giving my hair more movement and my hair now feels so healthy.
Then he finished by giving me I got a blow out and a few loose curls finishing with some Oribe Products on the ends for the final touch.
I am so beyond happy with the results, I thank everyone at Salon Kazumi for the services, from the girl that greeted me, to the girl that prep my hair and washed it everyone so kind and professional. Can’t wait to go back!
