Colton Dane was founded in 2013 by Colton Dane Lasater. On the labels website, the designs are described as having a, “focus on finely crafted fashion, artisanal detailing, timeless style, and the world’s most luxurious fabrications. The collections are driven by elegance and sophistication. A philosophy encompassing luxury, the feminine spirit, and refined glamour. Designed for the modern, sensual women.”

When Lasater was 6 he began working professionally in the theater and opera. He was drawn to the handcrafted work he saw from the costumiers and the sets on stage. When he was 9 he began being cast in television and feature films. Lasater credits both his time in the theater and film to his inspiration for design.

Lasater moved to Los Angeles, CA where he met Charles Christopher who graduated Loyola University with a Business Accounting degree. The pair were the perfect match to take on the Colton Dane label.

“This season we focused our fabrications on elements of the earth; Water, Wind, Fire, Rock, Shell, and Precious Metals. Each element is represented by our array of fabrications that are sourced from Europe. We’ve expanded this season with fabrications from Paris and Italy that have been custom made for collection, providing global exclusivity. Pieces that transition from the office to evening events unleash a sexier side to classic power suiting for the style-savvy professional.” STAY TUNED FOR DAILY POSTS WITH MORE PICTURES AND DETAILS ON LA FASHION WEEK.

Eva Franco was born and raised in Transylvania, Romania but grew up with a Hungarian heritage. As a young girl she immigrated to the US and found an outlet in fashion, adapting to her new surroundings. Her passion for designing clothes allowed her to communicate with her peers.

Following her graduation from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Franco moved to Paris where she continued to learn as a design assistant for Etienne Brunel. Eventually making the move to Los Angeles she finally began to create her own designs. Franco opened a shop at a local flea market which allowed her to learn from her customers and create pieces that, “celebrate the female form.”

The company is now based in Los Angeles from where clothes are shipped to 800 stores domestically and internationally. STAY TUNED FOR DAILY POSTS WITH MORE PICTURES AND DETAILS ON LA FASHION WEEK.
