Karl Lagerfeld has raised his Fashion Game by bringing an all new element to his Chanel Catwalk for Paris Fashion Week. Forget about last Seasons Chanel Supermarket Catwalk, This season Lagerfeld has come over all Feminist. Paying homage to the Parisian Feminist Protests of May 1968, the white haired fashion genius transformed the Grand Palais in Paris into a Parisian street. Then he transformed his models into an army of protesters. (Shock!) Cara Delevigne lead his fashionable protesters down the runway, quilted Chanel megaphone in hand. The following models carried placards down the runway with sayings like ‘Make fashion not war’, ‘History is her story’ and ‘Boys should get pregnant too’. A lone male Model also walked the runway with a sign, no doubt referencing Lagerfeld Favourite Emma Watson’s UN Speech for Gender Equality, saying ‘He for She‘ which is the motto of the UN Campaign.
Not to forget about the Chanel Spring Summer 15 collection we seen an abundance of Chanel’s signature Tweed. From monochrome tweed suits with flared pants, to a melange of colourful hued dresses, skirts and cardigan dresses we were not left disappointed by the collection. Nor did the theme of the show take from the delights of Mr. Lagerfeld’s Designs. A strong hint of floral print was thrown in for good measure with it being a Spring Summer collection and all.
