The Los Angeles area has been producing some of the hottest and most fashion-forward brands in the most recent years, two of these being Rochelle Carino and Linden.
ROCHELLE CARINO (@RochelleCarino) began working in the fashion industry as a design assistant for Nicola Berti after graduating from Los Angeles Trade Tech. Aside from Berti, Carino also held other various positions at companies like Ruby Rox and Saks Fifth Avenue. Carino was inspired to launch her namesake collection in 2011 after receiving a fortune cookie that read “Take that chance you’ve been considering” which turned out to probably be the best piece of random advice she could have ever gotten. Fast forward three years later and Carino is presented her Spring 2015 collection! Her designs have gained attention with their flirty and fun style. Carino believes that “You don’t have to be a young girl to feel like you’re playing dress up!”. This couldn’t be more true; especially when wearing anything from her brand. Carino likes to incorporate metallics and shimmer as well as bold prints and color into everyday clothing to add a girly flare to any outfit. She’s presented collections at London Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, and Los Angeles Fashion Week. Rochelle Carino’s clothing is designed to make a girl feel more confident and that’s exactly what they do. We’ll be posting images we took of the fashion show promptly.
LINDEN (@LindenCA) is an eco-conscious brand started by Jennifer Lynn in 2010. Like Rochelle Carino, the goal of Linden is to help empower women and make them feel more confident while also maintaining a healthy environment. This is accomplished by buying locally as much as possible, creating textiles from non-scarce resources, and taking into consideration how the materials used will impact the environment after they’ve been used; but don’t mistake eco-friendly for weak! Linden’s sleek, minimalist designs are fabulous really accentuate a woman’s features and look super chic. Linden also presented their Spring 2015 collection this week.
