Super Bowl Sunday is coming. The New England Patriots vs. The Seattle Seahawks. Who are you rooting for? Me, I’m excited about the half-time show and commercials. So, to get ready for the game, nothing better than to have vast amounts of appetizers, like my salsa with Del Monte Diced Mango recipe. I love this recipe so much, that when I make it, I make sure to have extra in small take-away containers for friends. This recipe is so quick and easy, and did I mention yummy. This is a quick, convenient, easy to make and healthy snack. I just got back from my local Walmart where I bought this Sunday’s supply of Del Monte Diced Mango and chunky salsa.
Salsa with Diced Mango, 2 Minute Recipe
- Head to your local Walmart to purchase 1 can (15 oz.) Del Monte Diced Mangos in light syrup, and 1 jar (24 oz.) chunky salsa (your favorite brand).
- 1 whole onion, 1 small bunch of cilantro, 4 oz of queso fresco (your favorite brand)
Finely chop the onion and cilantro. With a fork, or your fingers, break apart the queso fresco into small pieces. Set the chopped onion, cilantro and queso fresco in a small container. In a large serving bowl pour in the chunky salsa, Del Monte Diced Mangos, onion, cilantro and queso fresco. Lightly mix and enjoy with your favorite chips.
You can also add your own secret ingredients to the 2 Minute mango salsa. Just make sure to start with Del Monte Diced Mango, and you can’t go wrong.
Now, if you’ll have kids over how about a movie? “The Book of Life” DVD (available at Walmart on January 27, 2015) sounds great for a little half-time or second half entertainment for the little ones.
