On August 19th 1883, exactly 131 years ago a legend was born. Born #Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel in Saumur, France she started her career as a singer in #Paris, before eventually deciding to become a designer and changing the world of #fashion.
Today marks the #birthday of this #iconic and influential woman, and it’s clear to all lovers of fashion that she single-handedly made her brand a global success. Although having her up’s and downs #Chanel was known for her lifelong determination, ambition in all aspects of her life, this is why she was able to make her goals and dreams come true, even when life threw her a fair share of curve balls.
I believe if she was still with us on this special day, she would be proud of how her #classic and #sophisticated brand paved way to some of the most heart stopping fashion of our times and she would be proud of the amazingly talented women who have worn her brand with love, admiration and most of all honor.
