Fantastic news, everyone: the legendary label that is Bill Blass is scheduled to relaunch in the spring of 2016. The company, started by Blass in 1970, quickly became popular among some of the most glamorous women like Jacqueline Kennedy and Liza Minnelli. When Blass retired in 1999, Michaele Vollbracht took his place and in 2007, Peter Som and Michael Bastian took over the menswear and womenswear collections. However, Som left the company in the summer of 2008 and after two failed attempts at recreating its former success, Bill Blass Limited closed its doors. The label, now under the direction of Stuart M Goldblatt, will premier it’s post-relaunch collection for spring/summer 16. I know many people are excited about the comeback of this classic brand and, though a creative directory has not been appointed yet, we’re all hoping it can live up to its former glory!
