You may not be familiar with the name Emma Ferrer now, but as soon as you glance at the latest cover of Harper’s Baazar, you’ll instantly know who this stunning young woman is related to.
Audrey Hepburn’s legacy lives on. Her granddaughter, who so gracefully poses for Harper’s Bazaar, shows off the similar features and grace that was passed down to her. Looks weren’t the only thing Ferrer inherited from Audrey. The twenty year old has a similar passion for the arts as her grandmother and is a student at the Florence Academy of Art, and both were ballerinas in their early lives.
She has also been able to incorporate Audrey into a little piece of her life. When asked if she owned anything of her grandmother’s she said, “All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter. And a white antique stuffed teddy bear.”
While Emma wasn’t able to meet her legendary grandmother, she is still reminded of her dainty and comical spirit through the many movies where Audrey became a star. She is quoted saying, “When I watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s, I enjoyed it the same way any young girl would”.
This special cover for the magazine wasn’t only honoring the timeless actress though. Throughout Audrey’s life she was a muse to photographer Richard Avedon, creating some of the most memorable pictures of Hepburn that we know and love today. Avedon’s grandson, who is also a photographer, was able to be a part of this lovely tribute by taking the current pictures of Hepburn’s granddaughter for the magazine.
Ferrer and Harper’s Bazaar paid homage through the classic fashion and silhouettes of one of the most famous actresses of all time. And the result of this tribute is quite stunning.
