Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are finally opening their first flagship for The Row. The company was created 8 years ago, and is currently stocked in 188 stores and in 37 countries.
The 3,800 square-foot building on Melrose Place in Los Angeles, CA is the former location of the Sally Hershberger at John Frieda salon, where the twins had their hair cut as young stars in Hollywood. When they saw the space go on the market, they immediately felt compelled to open their first store. Following typical Californian style, the stucco building is equipped with a glassed-in pool and has a clean and contemporary decor. It is also filled with furniture by local designers and art by John Tweddle and Sergej Jensen. There will be Manolo Blahniks and Sidney Garber jewelry for sale along with the products created specifically for The Row. Mary-Kate states, “It’s a curation of what we love and what inspires us”.
The duo have also already stated their plans for the future. They want to open a New York store, design a shoe collection, and add a menswear line to the brand.
