A big trend for fall is rocking those big, floppy and structured hats. For many, it is a a trend they swoon over on their favorite celebrities, but aren’t sure how to pull the look off themselves. We’re here to show you a few different ways to wear the trend so you too can go out, ready for fall, bearing your new hat!

Hillary Duff floppy hat

In this look we see Hilary Duff wearing a wide-rimed hat that is in the perfect fall hue. Duff is dressed very laid back wearing blue jeans, a black tee and booties. A look like hers comes off as effortless and tones down the rest of the outfit so the hat is the focal point. Pairing your look with either heeled or flat booties brings the whole look together while creating an autumn vibe.

Candice Swanepoel wide brim floppy hat

Above is Candice Swanepoel wearing the iconic black floppy hat. In this look we’re focusing primarily on Swanepoel’s hair. Many women feel that they can only wear their hair down when they’re wearing a hat and we’re here to tell you that isn’t true! Pulling your hair into a low, loose side ponytail is another way to wear your hat. Pulling pieces out to frame your face and curling the ends of your hair will add effortless volume and texture.

Kate Moss in a black floppy hat

In our last look we have Kate Moss in an all-black outfit paired with her floppy hat. Black is always in, especially as the temperatures begin to drop. Wearing all black, including your accessories is both edgy and chic. To pull Kate Moss’s look off, pair your black look with knee-high black boots that can be more dressed-up with high heels, or dressed-down with flats. Adding a fur or faux-fur jacket will really make the look stand out, you’ll look like you just stepped off the runway!

Some of our favorite wide-rim and floppy hats can be found at Nordstrom, ASOS and Saks. Grab your Starbucks pumpkin spice latte and your new hat and you’re ready to take on the fall!
